Slow down, reconnect with yourself and fall in love with the traditional flow of yoga in the magic place of Rishikesh. Enjoy daily yoga practice, pranayama, meditation sessions, mindful living, healthy and vegetarian food and time for rest in an amazing atmosphere.
A retreat should give you more than a schedule of classes. At Savasana Yoga School the experience is built around a rhythm of practice, reflection, rest and connection.
Your days start with yoga and conscious breathing. Slowly move through meditation, philosophy, healthy meals, personal time and chances to feel the calm environment of Rishikesh. The goal is not to rush through a list of things to learn but to give you time to feel the practices and see how they can help with health.
Located in Tapovan, Rishikesh the retreat offers a space for people from all over the world and, for Indians who want to try real yoga while taking a real break from daily life.
Rishikesh gives you a place where yoga and spiritual culture come together in a natural way. The foothills of the Himalayas, the Ganges River, quiet neighborhoods, ashrams and generations of yoga traditions all help to make this spot perfect for slowing down and going within.
Spending a few days here can be a refreshing break, from screens, work pressure and the noise of daily life. Of treating Rishikesh like a regular tourist stop you can really feel its yogic spirit by taking part in daily yoga, mindful living, shared community experiences and moments of quiet reflection.
At Savasana Yoga School we make sure the retreat feels personal, practical and rooted, in the traditions of yoga.
Our main goal is not to push you into a teacher-training program but to help you grow a yoga practice that lasts a lifetime.
A five‑day retreat is perfect if you wish to spend time alone without having to sign up for a long residential program. You do not have to be training to become a yoga teacher in order to join.
This experience is good for people who want to create a routine reconnect with their body and breath or simply spend a few days in a calm yogic setting.
No previous yoga experience is required. What matters most is a mind and a willingness to participate.

Your time spent away from the yoga hall is a part of the experience. I feel that this part of the experience is what makes the practice deeper.
Depending on the retreat schedule and arrangements participants may have chances to experience the surroundings, local culture, riverside atmosphere and community life of Rishikesh. I think that experiencing the culture adds another layer, to the overall experience.
